anno scolastico 2016-2017
Progetto I C.A.R.E.
Immigrants' Children And Refugees Education
" I. C.A.R.E." - Immigrants' Children and Refugees Education

Our project takes its inspiration from the motto "I CARE", which was the motto of the "Barbiana" school founded by Don Milani. In the 60s, Don Milani experimented with a school dedicated to the children of farmers and manual labourers, in order to give them opportunities they didn't have within the traditional Italian education system, which tended to exclude them. Nowadays the children who are often excluded are those of migrants.
Thus, the I. C.A.R.E project is dedicated to the integration of the children of migrants and refugees, through inclusive education, with the use of multimedia.
Our project has as its main aim to welcome and integrate children who have found themselves in difficulty, in particular children from a migratory background. The project is realised by way of good practices shared between teachers from other European countries and our direct knowledge of the current systems of receipt and integration of migrants within the three countries which we will visit: the United Kingdom, Finland and Portugal.
Within this website you will find news on our school, documents and films detailing the good practices we adopt, and all the materials relating to our teachers' travels to these countries. In addition we have a blog where you can post your comments, ideas and suggestions.
